The town of Kalofer is at the foot of the highest part of the Balkan Mountains Park, in the heart of the Rose Valley, where most of the roses in the world are grown for the perfume industry, the impressive cliffs of Mount Botev rise near the town and have the highest waterfall in Bulgaria (130 meters), this is an area of beech and pine forests , picturesque villages and historic towns. It is a center of arts, crafts, wineries, and also the place where the Thracian kings erected wonderful temple tombs

Arrival to Kalofer
We will land in Sofia in the morning, and drive (2 hours) to the beautiful Balkan Mountains, arriving to the town of Kalofer. in the afternoon and we will discover the houses by the river, the historic Botev Museum and House, the monasteries and Churches, and the nearby lavender and rose fields, night in Kalofer
Balkan mountain Park
We start with the most beautiful River Trail in the Balkan Mountains Park, walk across Bridges and Waterfalls, and enjoy nature, later on we will visit the local distillery and try some of their Rakia, drive to the Local sheep farm where the sheep are milked by hand as in the old days and fine cheese is produced, and learn first steps in Bulgarian dance to the sounds of the Bagpipe, night in Kalofer
Waterfall and nature
We start the day with a walk to the highest waterfall on the Balkan Mountains, below mount Botev, some of the way can be done by car and the rest is a two hours walk each way. In the afternoon we will visit the nearby village of Shushitsa, where we will meet the local folklore group, hear some authentic Bulgarian singing and see the customs and the dances, night in Kalofer
Valley of Roses
We will start the day by going to the Rose Distillery of Damascena where there is a magnificent rose garden and you can learn and see the production process of the rose oil that the valley is Famous for. After that we will visit the town of Kazanlak, the center of the Rose Valley, the Rose Museum, and start exploring the ancient Thracian sites of the valley of the kings, beautiful and mysterious mounds and Tombs Temples, night in Kalofer
Thracian temple and Winery
We will start the day by visiting and enjoying the hot springs of Hisaria, an ancient roman city that is a Spa center, walking across the city one can see the magnificent gats and bath house. From there we will continue to the Thracian temple of Starosel, and visit the wine temple nearby, for wine tasting, night in Kalofer
Karlovo and Cable car
We will start the day by going to the town of Karlovo, where there is a cable car up to the heights of the Balkan Mountains, on top of the mountain there is unique flora and beautiful views. In the town there is a waterfall, arts and crafts center and the house museum of vasil levski – the national hero, night in Kalofer
Koprivshtitsa and sofia
We will start the day by Driving to Koprivshtitsa, one of the most beautiful museum villages in Bulgaria, walk around and see the beautiful houses from the revival period. From there we will continue to Sofia and start exploring the city Sites, Museums and Churches, Starting from the city center.
